Areca Palm
Dypsis Lutescens
A green fountain of abundant arched leaves!
The Areca Palm is also known as Bamboo Palm, Butterfly Palm, Golden Cane Palm and Yellow Palm. Many stems form a fountain of arched green leaves. It was once endangered but, thanks to the growing popularity, it is no longer at risk of extinction. Although they are large plants originally from tropical forests, these palms can accept trimming without serious consequences, making it possible to keep them indoors for their whole lives. Because of their smooth, golden-ish trunks they can look similar to bamboo clumps. They feature feathery, arching, narrow and full fronds, each with up to 100 leaflets.
The Areca Palm is a striking plant, kept indoors with the correct care, it can grow up to 6ft. in height and live for around a whole decade.
- Easy to care for and beautiful, the perfect palm for larger rooms
- This is a spacious plant that will prosper in sizable rooms like kitchens and living rooms
- If you are struggling with respiratory problems or skin sensitivity, this will be a huge helping hand
- The Dypsis lutescens is an impressive humidifier as it transpires water and helps soften skin damage caused by central heating
Great for homes with dry air, it helps purify and will brighten any space!
