I'm a pretty new addition to the Sansevieria family, so you won't find me in many homes! My broad, thick leaves have silvery-green colour with an almost pearlescent sheen.
With its unique silver-green foliage and dark green edges, the Moonshine Snake Plant is one of the most popular Snake Plants out there.
Sansevieria are also great for air purification - they absorb poisonous substances and expel oxygen as they photosynthesise.
Native to West Africa, the Sansevieria trifasciata 'Moonshine' is a powerful air-purifier and can increase your productivity during the day and your sleep at night.
Like most Sanseviera plants, this one only requires minimal care and is very easy to look after. They make great plants for slightly darker rooms or offices as they can tolerate low light conditions, and once you've watered your plant you can leave it to dry out fully before needing to worry about it again. In fact, these guys love being left alone!
Ideally, your plant will be kept in a spot with moderate light, but it should be fine in low light too. Once the soil is dry, water your plant but don't worry if you forget from time to time! Never let your plant sit in water as this will cause root rot. You can lightly dust your Sanseviera's leaves occasionally to remove any built up dust.

Light
I'm pretty easy going when it comes to light - I like bright, indirect best but can also do well in low light and direct sun too.
Water
I don't need much water at all so please make sure you don't overwater me as I could get root rot. During winter, reduce my watering to once a month.
Temperature
I like to be kept warm and unlike most tropical plants I like a dry heat so will be alright near a radiator.
Feeding
I don't ask for much - twice yearly fertilising will do.
Grooming
I'm super-hardy and don't require much other than the occasional dusting.
Care
I am mildly toxic so make sure my leaves aren't ingested by curious pets and kids

Size
I am slow-growing but can reach 60-70cm in height eventually.

We can't imagine many pets would want to chew on the tough spikes, but if they do, they might get digestive discomfort.
