We love seeing our plants settle in to their new homes. Every Bloombox Club subscriber adds something a little different and all of your posts help to spread the value of nature!
This month, we've chosen long-term Classic and then Special Subscriber, @thenerdypotter (aka Andy).
We particularly enjoyed Andy's shots of his Strelizia Regina, Vanilla Orchid and Monstera Minima, but he his whole Instagram feed is a plant-lovers dream, featuring propagation experiments, and showcasing growth over time.
We caught up with Andy and asked them a few questions about their subscription and favourite plants.
1. What appealed to you about our subscriptions?
What appealed to me the most was the lack of choice in getting a new plant. Most of the time we are spoilt for choice in almost every decision we make nowadays, so by taking the choice away it made the subscriptions so much more worth my time. The quality of the plants is always amazing, and they always come with a perfectly complimentary pot.
2. If you had to choose, what would your favourite plant be and why?
My favourite plant at the minute is the Anthurium Veitchii, commonly known as the King Anthurium. This plant has magnificent rippled foliage when it matures. I haven't found an Anthurium that I don't like yet!
3. If you were a plant, which plant would you be?!
Hmmm... if I was I plant, I think I would have to be a Maidenhair Fern, because I'm very picky about everything sometimes. However I flourish when in the right spot.
